Terms of Service
1. Who we are
Mezan Community (“Mezan”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a language-learning membership community based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, operating the website mezanplus.com and offering in-person and live online (Zoom) language classes under the Mezan Institute curriculum. By purchasing a membership or using this site, you agree to these Terms.
2. Memberships
We currently offer the following paid monthly memberships: a Jordan (Amman) community membership, and a Dubai membership (including a discounted rate for eligible airline cabin crew). Each membership gives access to a set of live in-person and/or Zoom classes, scheduled as described on the relevant membership page. Class schedules may vary month to month and are shared with members directly (including via WhatsApp).
3. Payment and billing
Memberships are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor (Stripe) and renew automatically each month until cancelled. We do not store your full card details — these are handled directly by Stripe. If we change membership pricing, we will give existing members reasonable advance notice before the new price applies to their next billing cycle; the price you were charged for a period already paid will not change retroactively.
4. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel your membership at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation stops future billing; it does not automatically refund amounts already charged, except as set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Once you cancel, we will not charge you again, and any charge made after a valid cancellation will be refunded.
5. Discounts and partner offers
From time to time we offer discounted rates to specific groups (for example, through airline partner programs) via coupon codes. These are subject to eligibility and may be withdrawn or changed for new sign-ups at any time; they do not retroactively change what existing members have already paid.
6. Community conduct
Members are expected to treat instructors and fellow members respectfully, in class and in any associated community groups (including WhatsApp). We may suspend or terminate access for members who behave abusively, share account access with non-members, or otherwise misuse the service.
7. Affiliate program
If you join our affiliate program, your participation is additionally governed by the affiliate program terms shown during sign-up, including how referral commissions are calculated and paid.
8. Intellectual property
All course materials, curriculum, recordings, and published books (including the “Let’s Talk” series) are owned by Mezan Institute / Mozn Shaker and are licensed to members for personal, non-commercial learning use only. They may not be copied, redistributed, or resold.
9. Disclaimer and liability
We aim to deliver classes as scheduled but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service (for example due to instructor illness or technical issues with Zoom). Where something goes wrong on our side, our responsibility is to make it right — for example, by rescheduling a class or adjusting a billing period — rather than to exclude our responsibility altogether. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under UAE consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will let members know (for example by email) before it takes effect for their next billing cycle.
